There are band T-shirts and T-shirts featuring album covers. So why not have tees that bear your favourite fashion campaign? Such is the case with Gucci’s latest series of limited edition merchandise which just launched exclusively on its e-tail site.
Called #GucciHallucination, the collection of cotton jersey crew neck tees and sweaters features the artwork of painter Ignasi Monreal. The Spaniard is a favourite collaborator of Gucci’s creative director Alessandro Michele — he worked on the digital #GucciGram project in 2015, had his artwork printed on T-shirts for the Cruise ’18, and helmed the images for a holiday gift catalogue in 2017.
This new project sees nine T-shirts (200 pieces) and nine sweatshirts (100 pieces) emblazoned with the same digital images that Monreal created for Gucci’s S/S ’18 ad campaign which reflects the artist’s trademark Pre-Raphaelite meets Surrealist style. An image from the campaign also appears as a whopper-sized artwork that decks out a wall on East London’s Brick Lane. Here, we showcase the full range to shop for.
