For a fun spin on can-you-match-it games found in activity books, we’ve put together a series of classic bags from some of our favourite fashion houses. Your job: match the latest iterations of these classic bags with their right descriptions (P.S. answers can be found in the last slide). Stayed tuned for more to come in this series.
1. The Mors de Brides
A new evening bag inspired by vintage formal bags yet looks utterly modern with its sharp, clean lines and bridle bit-inspired metal clasp across its top.
2. The Minuit au Faubourg
How the maison does statement bags – this slim shoulder-slung number comes exclusively in precious leather (the one here is in lizard) and with a jewel-esque, horology-inspired clasp that – like on watches – reveals its lock mechanism through a sapphire crystal.
3. The Etriviere Pocket 35
A roomy tote with equestrian influences (the metal buckle, the Hunter cowhide straps) that’s big on function (two leather pockets on the outside, a canvas one inside and handles designed to be adjustable).
4. The Haut A Courroies 40 Cargo
Lore has it that the Birkin was modelled after this travel-friendly bag designed at the start of the 20th century to protect and transport riding equipment. The latest edition undergoes a utilitarian makeover in canvas and leather, complete with a bottle holder.
5. The Kelly Sellier 28
The boxier of the brand’s famous trapezoidal tote with a flap and dual fastening straps is refreshed in Quadrille-motif canvas and a contrasting calfskin trim.
6. The Perspective Cavaliere
The unusual shape of this messenger is a reimagination of the flaps of a saddle seen from a slanted angle (hence its name, geddit?) while an engraved saddle nail serves as a clasp.
