Ms. Sander’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection ($19.90-$249.90) sees the designer continue to experiment with airy proportions and silhouettes. “The overall idea is sophistication,” she says. “A kind of purity that lets us think of regeneration and a fresh start.”

Ms. Sander has fused purity of line with a sleek colour palette meant to reflect the chromatism of the Northern Lights.
Stand-outs from the collection include an asymmetrical wrap skirt paired with a ribbed sweater and in the men’s department, an oversized shirt with drawstring details that introduce a subtle effect akin to a contemporary take on a coach jacket.

Wardrobe staples have been updated with thoughtful design details such as the drawstrings here.
Compared to the first outing, there are slightly dressier options in the form of dresses crafted from what Uniqlo calls a techno-silk blend, the latter of which lends a slight sheen. There are also selvedge denim jeans for men and women that come cut in an unfussy straight-leg silhouette. Rounding off the collection nicely are shots of dusky pink, lilac and cream in the designer’s typical colour palette of navy blue and black.
