So Max Mara might have ended its Max Mara Coats! exhibition in Seoul on Tuesday — the two-week-long exhibition held at the Zaha Hadid-designed Dongdaemun Design Plaza. That event feted the brand’s six decades in the business and its role in creating some of the most iconic coats in fashiondom. Over 90 permutations of its chic outerwear were on display, including those from the ’50s, its iconic 101801 wool and cashmere coat, and more recent runway pieces. But the other thing that stood out were the bevy of South Korean celebrities and the best-dressed crowd who schooled us in the myriad ways to pull off the style.
