All The Most Stylish People Spotted At London Fashion Week

by KENG YANG SHUEN  /   September 21, 2017

London Fashion Week has just wrapped up and here, it was increasingly clear that industry folks have really embraced suiting as a trend. Here, we take a look at all that the vibrant English capital had to offer for street style inspiration:

#1: Jenny Walton

The fashion director and girlfriend of street style photog The Sartorialist, Walton exudes an impish charm constantly. Here, she pairs her striking Annie Costello Brown earrings with a simple trench coat that just happened to be in a nearly identical blue shade – just what are the odds of that? Maybe she had it custom-dyed to match the earrings – you never know, it’s fashion week.

#2: Lauren Santo Domingo

It’s official – red and pink is really THE colour combination of the moment, as expertly demonstrated by none other than Lauren Santo Domingo – a former Vogue editor and the founder of exclusive online retailer Moda Operandi. She paired her hot pink Celine corduroy pants (yes it’s really Celine) with a red turtleneck sans bra. To try this look in Singapore, I’d say keep the Celine pants and simply swap out the turtleneck for a red tee or tank.

#3: Susie Lau

The ever quirky fashion blogger Susie Lau is never one to shy away from experimental silhouettes and bright colours – and I love her for that. Here, she’s wearing a neon orange tulle skirt from her favourite label Molly Goddard.

#4: Chioma Nnadi

The fashion news director of Vogue.com, Nnadi opted for a vintage velvet dress that formed the base and focal point of her outfit with its spectacularly colourful print. We’d suggest following her lead and toning down on everything else.

#5: Jenny Walton

Yes it’s Walton again and she almost looks like a different person here in a relaxed tailored ensemble that’s just a tad oversized – which is how you want your blazers to look like right now. It’s a very Ines de la Fressange kind of look – very French feminine-with-a-touch-of-masculine, and I love how her chic, tousled bob looks here.

Topping off this lovely look? That eye-catching red embellished bag.

#6: Isabella Poppius

Layering is not an easy skill but Poppius pulls it off with ease, perhaps because none of the elements are individually overwhelming. The soothing colour palette helps as well.

#7: Model

While I’m not sure who this is, this is my favourite look during London Fashion Week. Sure, there are a lot of things going on in this outfit – the lurid green turtleneck, the plaid trousers and a bag with whimsical illustrations. But to me, it’s very much emblematic of London’s signature vibes: youthful and off-kilter.
