From the rerun of The Unbeatables to the screening of Game Night to being hooked on Anna-Taylor Joy’s The Queen’s Gambit, our pop culture feed is dominated with a game of chance these days.
So it seems like perfect timing that Louis Vuitton has just released its plafyul Game On collection this month as part of its Cruise 2021 outing. Inspired by the symbolism of playing cards – the trusty traveller‘s companion – artistic director Nicolas Ghesquiere goes big with the deck of cards theme.
The collection centres around the monogram canvas which has been given either a black or white background, with the maison’s familiar blossom patterns appearing in brigh hues of blue and poppy red. Cute heart elements are added in the trademark design for an extra pep.
Elsewhere in the collection, the heart motif appears in exagerrated forms on bags like the Capucines and Twist and the Archlight sneakers. If all this is sounding like something you’ll want to ace, then scroll below for some items from the collection that caught our attention.
