If full-on animal prints encroach into wild territory for you, hey, no judgment. Never mind that designers are unleashing maximalist animal spots with a vengeance in 2021 – perhaps as a way to get into an escapist frame of mind. Cue the Fall/Winter 2021 designs at Paco Rabanne, Molly Goddard, Michael Kors, Moschino and Lanvin.
Louis Vuitton has a more tempered option for those who want to toy with animal prints with the debut of its Wild At Heart capsule collection for Pre-Fall. This line of accessories has been pre-launched online and at its Takashimaya Shopping Centre boutique and will drop at all stores from July 2.
Riffing on prints from the house archives, splashes of leopard prints are reworked and handpainted with the LV monogram, with bold black lines framing letters and graphic motifs on leather and canvas.
This subtle and youthful motif appears on some of the house’s best-loved bag silhouettes like the Multi Pochette, Twist and Speedy and rendered in earthy colourways of beige, terracotta and black. Not to be missed: a range of casual footwear such as Archlight sneakers, mules and flats that also sporting accents of the motif.
