Move over Alicia Vikander, Emma Stone and Lea Seydoux—there’s a new Louis Vuitton superstar in town. Meet Vivienne, a lovable mascot who is now the subject of a new Holiday capsule collection by the French luxury powerhouse.
First making her world debut in October 2017 as a collectible figurine, Vivienne is a cherubic icon with the House’s signature Monogram flower for her head and eyes, and luggage tags for her arms. Her name is also inspired by the VVN, a light-coloured beige leather that gains a dark patina over time and is often used in the making of Louis Vuitton’s bag straps.
For the latest collection, Vivienne has taken on the role of an intrepid traveller, nodding to Louis Vuitton’s heritage as trunk makers and its know-how in the art of travel. From standing under the Eiffel Tower to zipping across the Alps in a cable car, the lovable cartoon character is pictured in a series of colourful illustrations that lend an air of playfulness to the accessories, which include handy zip wallets, coin pouches and passport covers.
