From Balenciaga’s tie-up with Net-A-Porter to skatewear brand PACCBET’s partnership with Carhartt WIP, there has been a string of fashion collaborations industry insiders and aficionados alike have been going crazy over – and it doesn’t stop there. Eco-friendly Brazilian shoe label Melissa Shoes has just announced an exciting collaboration with New York-based luxury fashion label Baja East. The collection comprises of four different footwear styles – a flat slide, flat sandal, chunky high-heeled mule, and a closed-toe, lace-up ankle “desert” boot – as well as a drawstring bucket bag that comes in three different colours.
The collection first made its debut at the fashion house’s New York Fashion Week runway show, held at Melissa’s new experiential “Galeria” in SoHo. Models were styled in the label’s new ready-to-wear pieces, which was then complemented with the collaborative collection’s footwear and bags. The collection combines the aesthetic of both fashion brands and is a series of accessories that are bold and edgy yet still very wearable. Here, we give you a sneak peek of the pieces to cop once it comes to Singapore in March.
