Virgil Abloh has been keeping extremely busy. Despite being due for his second runway collection for Louis Vuitton this Thursday at Paris Men’s Fashion Week, the self-professed major multi-tasker is still giving fans plenty to love over at Off-White — this week, an exclusive capsule collection ($87-$1834) for e-tailer Mr Porter. Although its category is, well, men’s (pun intended), we repeat: there’s no reason we can’t borrow from the boys in this day and age.
The premise of “Modern Office”? An evolution of sportswear, informed by the modern corporate sensibilities. The new nine-to-five goes something like this: sneakers on Mondays, tracksuits on Fridays, and a sweatshirt any day of the week. Releasing a preliminary peek at the 44-piece strong capsule that will include accessories and sneakers on top of garments (see below), the range is also tipped to be heavy on logos and slogans in signature Off-White fashion. But of course, it perpetuates the “Modern Office” dress code with easy-wear items like printed tees and jumpers, with a couple of smarter pieces such as a shearling collar denim jacket, a linen trench and trousers, elevating its casualwear for the 21st century cubicle.
