In recent months, plenty of former creative directors have been staging a comeback in the industry. From Clare Waight Keller of Givenchy fame inking a deal with Uniqlo to Yves Saint Laurent’s (yes, when the Parisian brand still went by that name) Stefano Pilati designing a Curated by Stefano Pilati collection for Fendi. The latest name to join this trend is Natacha Ramsay-Levi.
Ramsay-Levi is best remembered as Nicolas Ghesquiere‘s right-hand woman before her three-year tenure as creative director of Chloe, which ended in December 2020. However, the Parisian designer is back in action, this time in the role of “creative partner” with the footwear brand Ecco. In this new position, Levi-Ramsay will create two bi-annual capsule collections called NRL. The first drop has already been released in stores and on the brand’s e-commerce site.

French designer Natacha Ramsay-Levi infuses her capsule collection with Ecco with urban coolness
True to her penchant for mixing feminine and boyish aesthetics in her designs, the collection boasts seven styles including block-heeled walking boots and heeled loafers. This being Ecco, there is also bound to be a level of innovation and comfort in the designs. Clock the NRL Grainer and Gruuv models, for instance. They are equipped with a cushy PU midsole and a two-way flex rubber sole, ensuring flexibility and comfort for all-day wear.
