So it seems that Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton are trying to resurrect the velour trend of the noughties: recently, the BFFs posted an image of themselves on Instagram wearing tracksuits from Kardashian’s Skims line which got the Internet into a tizzy.
But if you’re still on the fence regarding this velour revival, perhaps Dior has a more high-end take on how to do plush fabrics right.
Its Lady D-Lite bag, the tone-on-tone/minimalist take on the Lady Dior with the all-over Cannage embroidery, has been refreshed for Fall/Winter 2020 in velvet (read: a more luxurious, softter and lustrous material than velour) iterations instead of its usual canvas.
A more dressy take on the Lady D-Lite.
Unlike the OG Lady D-Lite which is more casual thanks to said canvas construction, think of this M-sized (24cm x 20cm x 11cm) velvet version as its more dressed-up sister – a fact underscored by the inky deep midnight blue and burgundy colourways.
And did we mention that the embossed Cannage motif employs a 3-D cotton embroidery technique which highlights the criss-cross design even more?
