We might not be celebrating the Qixi Festival aka Chinese Valentine’s Day in Singapore, but that does not mean we are left out of the action. That’s because fashion houses have been dropping one capsule collection after another to commemorate the occasion (it falls on August 25 in China). And it’s playing out well for our love of shopping.
Prada is the latest brand to announce a collection to mark Chinese V-Day. Called The Modern Tale, the co-ed outing spans utilitarian-influenced ready-to-wear pieces and accessories that come in an array of saccharine sweet pastel hues like astrale blue, giada green, and primula pink. Check it out if you’re on the hunt for items like bucket hats and miniature accessories such as detachable pouches for your bags.
The highlight of the collection, however, has got to be the debut of a new design from the Re-Edition family of nylon bags – the increasingly popular line of revisited styles from Prada’s archives. This newbie is a remake of 2006 design and features a detachable ribbon and chain shoulder straps, and comes in this season’s “it” silhouette: a saddle shape.
Is this what they call love at first sight?
