Celebrities walking the fashion runway is certainly not a new thing. Especially so for Prada which let A-listers such as Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe and Gary Oldman had their turn on the fashion stage as far back as 10 years ago for its Fall/Winter 2012 menswear show.
As a reminder of how the Italian house had paved the way for what is now a norm for fashion presentations, Miuccia Prada and her co-conspirator Raf Simons rehashed that winning formula for their Fall/Winter 2022 outing on January 17 at the cavernous Fondazione Prada in Milan.
They cast 10 leading men of Hollywood across several generations to parade the collection titled ‘Body of Work’ which centred around the notions of uniform, formality and manhood.
The star-studded roll call included Sex Education actor Asa Butterfield, British heartthrob Louis Partridge as well as up-and-coming talent Jaden Michael, 18, from Netflix’s Colin in Black & White. They strutted the yellow carpeted runway as the synth-heavy sound of The Human League permeated the venue.
Joining the bevvy of silver-haired models on the runway were Prada aficionado Jeff Goldblum and Kyle MacLachlan who closed and opened the show respectively.
