Can chic and street co-exist? The second instalment of the Puma x Karl Lagerfeld collab certainly makes the case for it. While the first drop between the footwear giant and the iconic late designer’s namesake label featured a 13-piece line-up of athleisure basics for the 50th anniversary of Puma’s original Suede Classic, its Fall 2019 iteration switches things up a little.
Its second drop takes cues from Puma’s extensive – and iconic – archive, reimagining the Puma Roma, the brand’s well-loved running shoe first release in 1968 yet again. The collab – which will available Oct 12 onwards at Puma stores nationwide – also introduces a brand new take on the Puma Cell Alien (a chunky and vibrant azure blue sneaker with black, grey, white and red detailing) 20 years after its initial introduction to the world. The result is a sneaker line-up that includes both chunky and sleek offerings – from the statement Alteration Karl sneaker to the Puma Roma, accompanied by streetwear staples such as beanies, hoodies, T-shirts and track pants.
