Every ’90s kid remembers the brainchild of Dreamworks that took over playroom shelves everywhere. The Danish troll doll won the hearts of families worldwide – neon tufts of hair and all. If the last two decades have fuzzed out the memory of the beloved childhood favourite, fret not. Italian label Moschino has brought it back tenfold in the form of an over-the-top capsule collection.
Titled “Good Luck Trolls”, the line up – which features Cardi B’s little sister, Hennessy Carolina as one of its campaign faces – offers an extensive selection that includes shirts, trousers, skirts, belt bags, backpacks and windbreakers. As with all things Moschino and Jeremy Scott, the capsule is not for the faint-hearted. Expect the usual unabashed flair, with bold prints (in a colour-scheme dedicated to the troll dolls) with an ongoing theme from the Fall Winter 2019 runways. Keeping in line with the game show theme of the runway show – and vice versa – the collection is peppered with symbols of “good luck”. Trolls are meant to be extra lucky after all.
