With a well-known taste for fashion theatrics, creative director Gherardo Felloni sought inspiration from what some might see as an unlikely source to create Roger Vivier’s newest signature bag: the glitzy world of beauty pageants.
Now into its second season, the Miss Vivier continues to shine as a sophisticated and versatile essential. FEMALE and Roger Vivier spotlight its latest personalities.
With a compact east-west shape (it measures 23.5×15.5x5cm); slim shoulder strap; and drawstring pulls that peek out from the sides, lending a playful decorative accent, the Miss Vivier Mini is a newcomer this season that makes for a fun and feminine day-to-night pochette. Choose from metallic silver or plush velvet in black, cool mint or this luscious berry tone – all anchored by the line’s signature hardware – three crystal-studded buckles (one on the clasp, two on the shoulder strap) – and even more hand-sewn crystals lining the edges of the strap.
This richly embellished number has been christened Miss Vivier Blossom for the lively floral motifs on its leather flap, all handpainted by the maison’s craftsmen. A limited-edition rendition of the original Miss Vivier (which comes in sweet pastels as well as a trendy pink this season), it sports the latter’s utilitarian yet unapologetically bold shoulder strap: wide with crystals not only as a trim, but also spelling out the brand’s name across in capital letters.
The perfect companion for a swanky night out is the Miss Vivier Clutch that boasts three internal card slots and a concealable wide shoulder strap for added versatility. In classic black, sharp white or metallic silver leather complete with the line’s distinct Broche-style (or brooch-like) crystal buckle, it’s glitz-meets-classic-elegance in one handheld package.
If glam yet hyper functional is what you’re looking for, meet the Miss Vivier Pocket Phone Holder that snugly fits the likes of an iPhone12 Pro or Samsung Z Flip. Crafted in smooth leather in fashionable shades like periwinkle blue, embossed silver, this sweet pink or slick black, it’s attached to a chain-and-leather strap long enough for it to be worn across the body or as a necklace with a twist. Now how cool is that?
