Here Are 9 Pretty Sandal Heels To Strap Yourself In For A Night Out

From high street to high end, these are our favourite sandal heels to cater to every look

by Bryan Goh  /   October 10, 2019

It’s fair to assume that certain fashion items have incredible longevity: You’d be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t hanker for a Chanel 2.55 or an Hermes Birkin even after decades.

In the footwear arena, it’s the sandal heel. Brought back in style after Hedi Slimane’s reign at Saint Laurent, they’re still as stylish and statement-making as they were six years later with the benefit that there’re even more designs and price points available these days. Click on for nine of our favourites.

Here Are 9 Pretty Sandal Heels To Strap Yourself In For A Night Out
Isabel Marant leather sandals, USD$700 (S$966), www.shopbop.com
image

Silver and strappy without looking like the bad part of the ‘70s, Isabel Marant’s version is perfect for hitting the dance floor (no one’s going to complain about the modest heel, too).

Gianvito Rossi suede sandals, USD$888 (S$1225), www.net-a-porter.com

The simple shape is what makes this pair of Gianvito Rossi Porto sandal heels work, whilst the material, a sumptuous suede, makes it worth the price. They’re strictly cab to cafe though, because of their height.

Charles and Keith PU leather sandals, S$63.90

Our homegrown hero is really acing the footwear game and this pair is a prime example. Its heel is encased in a piece of perspex (10/10 for design) and it doesn’t have the shininess that usually comes with PU leather.

Zara leather sandals, S$179
image

If you want sexy snakeskin sandals that don’t veer into a trashy didn’t-the-Kardashians-use-to-wear-them look, Zara’s sandals are your pick. They come in a solid black with a sexy lace up detail for just a touch of sass.

Stuart Weitzman leather sandals, S$725

The Nudist has become a celebrity in its own right and it’s not hard to see why: A small platform gives it height and it has a reputation of being incredibly comfortable even on first wear.

Topshop leather sandals, S$106
image

Lower heeled sandals aren’t boring when they look like this pair of Topshop ones: They come with a snakeskin upper, slingback detail and a heel in a lacquered black leather.

H&M PU leather sandals, S$64.95
image

Part Grecian goddess, part pretty-girl who loves her brunch, these H&M sandals look as good from the front as it does from the back, thanks to the latter sporting a girly tassel detail.

Christian Louboutin leather sandals, S$1,190
image

The Joatina’s merits do not just include its iconic red soles. A plastic strap gives an illusion that the ankle strap is floating (a great conversation starter, BTW) and it comes in a variety of shades for every skin tone.

Jimmy Choo suede sandals, USD$840 (S$1159), www.net-a-porter.com

If you usually do not wear colour or if you need something classic looking that’s equally striking, these Jimmy Choo Mimi 100’s pack a punch, thanks to its flattering red shade. We love how the thin ankle wraparound strap gives it a dose of elegance too.
