Every girl needs a bag that’s timeless and goes with everything and anything in your wardrobe. Celine’s new design for Spring, the Frame (price unavailable at press time), is the perfect blend of simplicity and sophistication. With a border in a contrasting colour, the bag is crafted from soft leather and feels soft to the touch. It’s available in two versions: As a clutch on a chain and as a bag with a shoulder strap.

At Stella McCartney (left), they came in chunky clear perspex. At Gucci, they came embellished with beads, crystals, pearls, what have you. If anything, the one rule to abide by when it comes to accessoring this season is “the bigger, the better”.

So they might not look easy to walk in – but who cares? Marc Jacobs models trotted out in some of the coolest strappy clogs of the season (above), while Miu Miu’s versions come in cute candy-coloured hues. In a word: Irresistible.

New Year’s resolutions? Passe. The one thing you have to own in 2017 is the statement tee – and by statement, we’re referring to the hard-hitting slogans on it.
