The masks that Alessandro Michele sent out at the Gucci Fall/Winter 2019 show were unmistakable. But if you’re thinking of getting them for your next Gothic-themed costume party – spoiler alert – they won’t be sold in stores. The next closest thing to owning a piece of this cool Gucci accessory is if you get hold of the brand’s newly launched Manifesto collection. The series of T-shirt, sweatshirts and caps come in colours like red, black and white are printed with motifs of the exact same masks that were seen during the show. Also printed: The slogan “The Mask As A Cut Between Visible And Invisible” which is the inspiration for the collection. Priced from $550-$1,800, the collection will be dropping only at the brand’s Paragon and The Shoppes At Marina Bay Sands stores from next month.

Ganni is that street style famous Scandi label that proves how Danish design does not always have to be about that cold and minimalist aesthetic. Under the watchful eyes of its creative director Ditte Reffstrup, the brand has churned out sought-after designs like cowboy boots to maxi dresses with pouffy sleeves that always come with a healthy dose of colour and prints. This month, the brand makes its debut at Club21 Forum for Pre-Fall. Inspired by ’90s Britpop – specifically, the art school meets glam rock influence of that era – the collection sees Reffstrup taking a sexier and darker tact. Shirts are shrunken, a tiger print blouse comes sheer, while a slip dress is emblazoned with brooding floral prints. How’s that for changing our perception of Nordic style?

There is hybrid fashion and then there are design mashups which come with functionality in mind. The new Trey collection from MCM falls under the latter. Named after the basketball term which denotes a shot that counts for three points, this modular bag style is made up of three different bags – a mini backpack, a wristlet and a camera bag. Wear them on their own or string them together with a thick leather buckled belt to become a newfangled sling bag design. Priced from $,1420-$1,560, the designs include two models in monogrammed leather that have been given an ombre effect as well as a design made from mixed materials.

Riccardo Tisci has shown us how he does eveningwear, streetwear, and executive wear at Burberry. Now the man is giving us a look at how he tackles swimwear and beach-ready wardrobe. For his first-ever summer capsule collection since coming on board as chief creative officer, Tisci unveils a posh outing of bikinis and one-piece swimsuits, goggles, sunglasses, beach towels and designer Speedo that’s grounded in a minimalist colour palette of malt brown, black, white and pops of bright orange. Oh, and that smattering of the graphic TB monogram of course.

With dandies and ’50s Teddy Boy dressing set to be a big style influence for Fall, it means you can give your trendy sneakers – or any street-inflicted shoe styles for that matter – a rest. Instead, classic loafers are the sleeper footwear trend that is primed for this classic menswear in fashion. Stuart Weitzman’s take on the trend is the Frances loafers ($625). Made from either black soft nappa leather or camel-coloured suede, the style features the brand’s SW logo stamped on the vamp for a little touch of logomania.
