Stepping into the new Casa Loewe store in the heart of Orchard today was a welcome break from one hectic week (you can find an exclusive limited edition collection and the cutest elephant pouches in store – more on our Instagram). But besides them drool-worthy bags from the Spanish label, we’ve rounded up more exciting launches to covet, from Longines’ new equestrian-inspired watches to jewellery that style stars Olivia Palermo and Kate Middleton love. It’s the first Loewe store (#01-11/12 Paragon Shopping Centre) in Southeast Asia conceptualised by British designer J W Anderson. The top shelves are lined with striking portraits by Steven Meisel (one of it features the photographer too) and boasts a striking green agate ceiling at the entrance of its 3,000 sq ft space. To celebrate its opening, there will be a Spanish artisan in store (till Jan 22) who will showcase the brand’s expert craftsmanship, and you can also get your Loewe leather goods monogrammed there.
If you need further incentive to shop, Paragon is running several Chinese New Year promotions: Citibank cardholders can get $30 shopping vouchers with a minimum spend of $380, while all shoppers can also redeem a set of red packets with a minimum spend of $120.
At multi-label boutique Club 21 (#01-01 Four Seasons Hotel), check out rave-girl tracksuits and flowy peasant tops from Chloe’s Spring/Summer ’16 collection. At sister shop Club 21b (#01-07/08/09 Forum the Shopping Mall), French label Jacquemus’ (above) deconstructed, asymmetrical pieces and New York label Hood By Air’s streetwear garb will make their debuts.
The Female Collective’s Aarika Lee went to Hong Kong for a preview of the Equestrian Collection, the first womenswear collection that takes inspiration from the sport. While there are two main designs – one referencing an arch, the other the horse stirrup – only the arch has launched, and are available in four sizes (23mm, 26mm, 30mm and 34mm). The one featured here is a 26mm watch with a diamond-set steel case, mother-of-pearl dial and leather strap.
Don’t we all need jewellery we can wear everyday, no matter the outfit? Monica Vinader’s sleek, minimal accessories fit the bill perfectly. It’s the first boutique by the British luxury jewellery brand here, which counts Olivia Palermo, Emma Watson and Kate Middleton fans. It offers everything from bespoke-cut gemstone jewellery to a friendship bar where you can engrave a personal message, motif or doodle FOC to make your buy extra special. #B1-K7 Ion Orchard
