You won’t have to hunt down an & Other Stories store anymore for its lifestyle wares and huge selection of ready-to-wear pieces the next time you’re visiting Europe or the United States. That’s because the Swedish retailer has opened its first Southeast Asian store in Ion Orchard on August 19. This will be followed by another outpost in Raffles City Shopping Centre which is set to be opened early next year. Besides Singapore, the only Asian markets where the company has a presence in are South Korea and China.

Swedish retailer & Other Stories is a sister brand to Cos and H&M and has carved a niche for its eclectic mix of ready-to-wear design, lifestyle products and cult beauty finds.
The design of the brightly-lit 5,600 sq ft Ion Orchard store is split into three distinct looks – reflecting the aesthetic of the three design ateliers that work independently, but also together, to create collections for brand. The Paris studio is known for its uber-feminine designs, while the LA team creates more free-spirited creations with a hint of glamour. The Stockholm atelier, meanwhile, is responsible for more minimalistic and modern creations that are more tailored.

The beauty line from & Other Stories includes products ranging from serum foundations to body lotions.
To mark the store’s opening weekend, homegrown DJ/musician, visual artist and fashion educator Ginette Chittick will be on site to give a live art demonstration – spinning yarn from self-harvested kapok cotton fibre and latch-hooking on August 19 and August 20. Customers can also snap a photo at the foliage-filled photo wall till August 21, and bring home digital photos and print-outs from the photobooth as a keepsake. Or simply sign up to the brand’s newsletter via stories.com and enjoy a 10 per cent discount on your purchases.
