The Asian model everyone was talking about at Fall Winter 2015 Fashion Week was Australian-born Chinese Fernanda Ly – not only because she pretty much went from unknown to an exclusive girl for the Louis Vuitton show, but also because of her cotton candy pink locks and Harajuku goth “I-don’t-care-what-you-think” aesthetic. Anyone who can rock Edna Mode hair, reflective bug-eyed shades, a tribal-esque necklace, biker jacket, mini tutu skirt and a retro geek watch all at once deserves props. What’s helping her to get the look right: Keeping to just two colours (mostly black and blue here).

Oversized white shirt? Wide legged “kung fu” pants? Checkered Keds and Nike socks? The combo shouldn’t work, but this street style goer makes it, in part thanks to her barefaced look.
Beanie girl on the left knows the power of a single statement coat. Turtleneck girl on the right is fearless with clashing patterns. Make both dress in the same colour family and it’s a guaranteed #Win.
She likes Comme des Garcons. We like how she’s pulling off this harness-meets-ribbon dress from the brand’s Spring Summer 2015 collection with all-white jacket, tee and shorts (worn inside) and sneakers.
Why have we included this street style goer who’s worn a biker, layered maxi skirt, retro-inspired shades, a pink fur stole, star print platforms and a cloud-shaped clutch? Because she’s happy to be “crazy” – half of what’s needed to carry off any look.
Meet the princess of cartoon crazy cool: Susie Bubble aka Susanna Lau with her show-off faux fur and reflective shades…
… A sequinned turtleneck from Dior with what seems to be like a Comme des Garcons skirt, and ballerina bun on top…
… One of her quieter looks (but she’s still got on a printed tee and clogs).
And the queen of cartoon crazy cool: Mademoiselle Yulia, with her long dyed locks, hip hop-influenced dressing and utterly swag accessories like this graphic monotone fur stole.
