Skate-inspired luxury streetwear brand Palm Angels, founded by designer Francesco Ragazzi, has launched its first month-long pop up at clothing boutique, Surrender. The pop-up, which launched on July 12, also saw Ragazzi making his first guest appearance in Singapore – alongside the debut of the label’s Pre-Fall 2019 collection.
Currently also the artistic director for Italian luxury outerwear brand, Moncler, Ragazzi’s fascination with skate culture has carried the label through its initial conception (in fact, Palm Angels was originally a photo-book by Ragazzi that documented Los Angeles skate culture in 2014) to current cult status. The Pre-Fall 2019 collection is an extension of the brand’s distinct Californian-Italian DNA, with key but fairly new themes of horror – in the form of an impossibly cute, yet macabre beheaded bear – silk bandanas and a twist on the classic Palm Angel stripes.
The pop-up also features footwear and accessories, from Palm Angel’s Recovery Sneakers in black and white colourways, to its Velcro Vulcanized Sneakers in black, purple and white. The label’s popular padlock bag also gets an all-plastic revamp that you’ll be able to get your hands on over the next month. Browse the collection above.
