Yesterday evening, fashionable folk arrived in full force at Tangs by Tangs Plaza for the Lasalle Graduate Fashion Show 2016, a showcase of graduating students’ final collections from its BA (Hons) Fashion Design & Textiles Programme supported by the annual Singapore Fashion Week. Centred on the theme “post-fashion”, the 21 collections presented featured students’ responses to the roiling changes in the fashion industry, what with designers Hedi Slimane and Raf Simon leaving their posts as creative directors at Saint Laurent and Dior respectively and with increasing pressure for immediate consumer satisfaction from social media-savvy shoppers.
And in support of the “see now, buy now” approach, selected pieces ($99-$329) from Lasalle students’ runway collections are now up for sale at Level 2 Tangs By Tangs Plaza and Tangs.com. Check out our favourite womenswear looks in the gallery below.
