Uniqlo has unveiled its latest UT collection (the brand’s range of collaboration printed t-shirts) that will definitely appeal to everyone. The Japanese fashion giant tapped on the talents of reputable graffiti artists, Andre Saraiva and abstract expressionist, Futura on a range of colourful t-shirts all stamped with the artworks of the artists. Here, we break down what you need to know about the artists and the buys to get.
The Swedish graffiti artist is known for his iconic, cartoonish characters, and has also put hotelier, nightclub entrepreneur and restaurateur to his burgeoning repertoire. For this collection, Saraiva’s signature use of pink and monochromatic hues are prominent in his designs with typography and whimsical characters all over the t-shirts.
One of the major players in the urban art scene, the American graffiti artist, illustrator and photographer is known for his abstract art. His abstruse designs morph geometric shapes with different colours and patterns made wearable on the t-shirts.
Prices range from $14.90 to $19.90 and are available online and at all Uniqlo stores in Singapore.
