The 10th collection of the Japanese giant’s beloved Uniqlo U line hits stores today, and as always, it focuses on designs that are functional without losing the stylishly pared-back sensibility the line is known for.
Uniqlo U’s Spring/Summer 2021 collection is a masterclass in lightweight and stylish wardrobe staples.
Women’s coats, for example, have been cut shorter for easier movement, and shirts are done up in a semi-sheer viscose-blend for greater comfort, while the popular men’s high-neck T-shirt has been reinterpreted in a boat neck and Breton stripes this season.
Expect a poetic colour story for Uniqlo U this season.
What also feels fresh are the selective injection of unusual colours such as a lovely chartreuse and lilac, which feels particularly timely and uplifting now, especially coming off the strong fashion showing at the inauguration ceremony of Joe Biden.
Childrenswear makes its debut at Uniqlo U for Spring/Summer 2021.
Additionally, Uniqlo U includes nine items for children this season, a first for the line and will be available from end February. As always, the Uniqlo U range is shoppable online as well as at the brand’s Orchard Central flagship, with selected pieces available at other stores.
