As far as we’re concerned, Italian designer Valentino Garavani is the O.G. Tiger King. The fashion maestro’s affinity for the majestic feline stretches back to 1967 when he introduced a tiger print on a coat for his Fall/Winter haute couture collection.
Throughout the years, the fashion house has revisited this tiger motif – simply dubbed Valentino Tiger 1967 – for several outings, with the most extensive one being for Fall 2018 when the design was printed and embroidered on a handful of items.

With Chinese New Year this year ushering in the tiger zodiac, Valentino’s archival tiger is prowling back again into our wardrobes, this time serving as punchy prints for a festive capsule collection that spans fits such as hooded capes and shorts as well as Valentino Garavani bags and footwear.
