It was a double celebration for Fendi recently when the Italian house opened its revamped flagship store at Takashimaya Shopping Centre and feted the 25th anniversary of its iconic Baguette bag.
The store, located at #01-30/32 of the Orchard Road mall, is decked out in elegant Arabescato marble, arches and finishings such as champagne metal, brass and light grey concrete. The wow factor continues in the carpeted private VIP room which features pink crystal marble walls with furniture in soft pink. To highlight the 25 years of the Fendi Baguette, re-editions of the bag, stretching back from 1997, take pride of place in the middle of the store.
Soaking all that glamour in during the opening night were the stylish bunch who comprised Fendi aficionados like private investor and freelance writer Wendy Long, and a bevy of young musicians, models and creatives. Just scroll on to see them captured on camera.

Her fashion obsession right now: “I’m currently into thrifting; about 70 per cent of my wardrobe is thrifted. I’ll make it a point to check out the thrift scene in every country I visit. You can get pieces there for around $50 each – though this is relatively steeper than prices in other countries.”

In fact, one of my friends introduced herself to me because she couldn’t recognise me!”

Who: Haven, musician
What she is wearing: Fendi jacket, skirt, boots and bag; bandeau from a brand she couldn’t remember; and Christian Dior necklace
