While some people wait for the Singapore Grand Prix to roll into town each year for the adrenaline rush of seeing supercars on the street circuit, some of us also wait for the F1 night race for its entertainment lineup that happens each night during the three-day event. This year’s edition – which runs from Sept 15-17 – promises a total of 139 artistes entertaining the crowd over 80 hours of entertainment. The shows will take place at two venues: the main stage at the Padang and the second stage at the Wharf, which is located near the Pit Grandstand.
Among the highlights are seven acts from the buzzy music company 88rising. The names include Indonesian indie-folk musician Niki, the Seoul-based girl group XG and Thai rap sensation Milli. They will all be performing at the Padang on Sept 15. Texan music phenom Post Malone will perform on Sept 16 at the Padang, while electronic music legends Groove Armada and British pop star Robbie Williams will wrap up the weekend with their sets on the night of the finals on Sept 17.
