The relationship between JW Anderson and Yoox goes a long way. In 2011, the Northern Irish designer was one of the earliest honourees in the e-tailer’s running showcase of ‘The Next Talents’ to watch.
Fast forward to 2020 and Anderson has become an influential name in fashion, gaining the backing LVMH for his eponymous label and manning the design at Spanish fashion house Loewe – all while holding on to his status of the most consistent creative directors in an industry famed for playing musical chairs.

His idiosyncratic aesthetic and gender-bending design ethos have also made him one of the most sought-after names for collaborations and building hype around a label. Among the brands that had come knocking were Topshop, Versus, Uniqlo, Moncler – and now, fittingly, Yoox.
To mark the e-tailer’s 20th anniversary this month (it launched on June 20, 2000), Yoox has tapped on Anderson to deliver a unisex capsule collection – labelled as JW Anderson X Yoox – that delves into some of his iconic designs from the archives.
Grounded in a predominantly neutral colour palette that calls to mind the English countryside/highlands, the familiar designs here include a patchwork plaid shirt dress which he has revisited numerous times at his namesake label and Loewe, the felt mules from his menswear collection, and a redux of his cult hit – the Nano Keyts crossbody bag.
