With their precious make and simple yet elegant aesthetic, these men’s-style women’s watches won’t just take you from day to evening, but through the years too.
Chanel’s signature bracelet watch, the Premiere, gets a masculine, five-figure counterpart dubbed the Boyfriend. Its case is also octagonal, but upsized and crafted in 18K beige gold with bevelled edges, while the strap is alligator skin. Prices start from $16,990 for the quartz version, but the ultimate luxury – and ode to gentleman’s dressing – are the mechanical models with manual winding.

It holds the most number of records for thinnest watches made. Now, Piaget scores another coup with this adaptation of its classic Altiplano, packing a manual-winding flyback chronograph (it lets you reset its seconds hands with the push of a button) into a 8.24mm-wide case – reportedly the slimmest in the world.

In 1975, Bulgari created its first timepiece, an elegant two-hand design dubbed the Bulgari Roma, that would become the starting point for the brand’s signature Bulgari Bulgari line. This is the deluxe edition of the original, revived last year as part of its 40th anniversary with a slim 5.15mm case, manual winding movement, 18K pink gold and an alligator skin strap.

L.U.C – the initials of Chopard founder Louis-Ulysse Chopard – is also the byword for the brand’s black tie line. Besides the ultra thin case measuring about 7mm, the most prized element of this timepiece is the case, made from 18K rose gold that’s been certified Fairmined (read: responsibly mined). Only 250 pieces available worldwide.

For an everyday style, the ’70s-tinged, pebble-shaped Cle de Cartier still starts from a cool $11,100. Why? Materials aside, its Caliber 1847 MC automatic movement is produced in-house and known for being reliable and precise.
