A staple since 2015, Chanel’s Coco Crush line of fine jewellery is good design exemplified. Its aesthetic is pure and ageless (after all, its inspiration is the brand’s equally emblematic and enduring quilted motif). Every style – from rings of various widths to ear cuffs that can be worn in multiple ways – effortlessly uplifts any outfit. And possibly what makes it quintessentially modern? The surprising ways the maison continues to evolve it without losing its distinctiveness.
Joining the Coco Crush collection in boutiques here on Jan 11 is a new series of delicate chain bracelets with what can be described as a highly personal IYKYK edge: charms in the shape of the letter “C” or “O” that come with or without diamonds. Available in 18K white, yellow or Chanel’s proprietary, universally flattering beige gold, each can be worn singly or combined to spell out Gabrielle Chanel’s nickname, Coco.
The Coco Crush line also welcomes its most discreet pendant yet: a demure band with the collection’s signature criss-cross-patterned incisions on a matching gold chain. Like all the other necklaces in the range, including the Coco that encases diamonds in a letter “C”-shaped charm, this debuting style has multiple hoops along the back so that one can adjust and wear it at different lengths.
Ahead a closer look at the pieces.
