10 Ways To Rock High Jewellery As Seen At The Met Gala

by IMRAN JALAL  /   May 3, 2017

The dress code of this year’s Met Gala ball honouring Rei Kawakubo might have been avant-garde. But save for model Joan Smalls’ lip ring and Anna Cleveland’s ear cuffs by Ana Khouri, the attendees stuck to the standard fare: diamonds, diamonds and more diamonds, with the occasional coloured gemstone thrown in. The jewellery on the rapper was as eclectic (all-over-the-place, cough, cough) as her getup. The bracelets were from brands like Hearts on Fire and Mattia Cielo, while the rings came from jewellers like Dvani and Le Vian. The diamond and ruby earrings were from Nina Runsdorf.

#10: Gwyneth Paltrow

If that candy floss pink Calvin Klein By Appointment dress is a little underwhelming for the Met Gala, the jewels definitely weren’t. Paltrow donned more than US$2.3 million worth of Harry Winston diamond jewellery.
