Some of the most iconic works in art and design are predicated on transforming everyday objects (hey, Duchamp).
The same principle is at play with Tiffany & Co.‘s just-launched collection Tiffany Knot: It’s inspired by the industrial chain links of the fences found all over the streets of the jeweller’s home city of New York, elevating them into graphic necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings anchored by a stylised knot motif.
The brand has clearly put a lot of R&D into the collection – a highlight for the brand in 2022. The knot on the bracelets, for example, conceals the clasp, making for a seamless appearance (swivel it to unclasp) while standout styles include a choker necklace hand-set with over 300 diamonds.
The Tiffany Knot choker is studded with more than 300 diamonds and will be available from March onwards.
And just like that, the source material is cleverly subverted, re-imagined into a fine jewellery line that’s equal parts pretty and practical. Ahead, we take a peep at the pieces you can cop.
