i Light Marina Bay 2017 is well underway, and though most might be going for the many light art installations (See: The most instagrammable installations at i Light Marina Bay 2017), there are also a slew of various activities that are definitely worth checking out. Below, we pick the five activities going on this weekend that you don’t want to miss:
#1: Marketplace
Take home an environmentally-friendly souvenir at The Marketplace, where various vendors passionate about green living, sustainability and handmade knick-knacks will put out an eclectic selection of eco-products and crafts, such as organic clothing and furniture and accessories made of recycled materials.

#2: Outta Hatha Presents Sunset Flow for Charity
Take in the amazing views of Marina Bay while enjoying an outdoor sunset yoga session conducted by trainers from Outta Hatha, which organises pop-up outdoor yoga sessions. Do good at the same time as 50% of all proceeds will be donated to Gyanada Foundation, which helps fund education for disadvantaged girls in India.
11 & 18 March, 6pm – 7.30pm, Customs House Terrace. $20 per class
#3: Workshop: Sospeso Glass Jar & Bottles by Just Love Crafts
Have several used glass jars and bottles piling up at home? Learn how to beautify them and create a one-of-a-kind piece with the sospeso technique that creates a porcelain or frosted glass effect, but yet is none of those. Either bring your own empty and clean bottle/jar – all other materials are provided – or purchase one on site.

#4: Recharge with PacificLight
The perfect way to unwind over the weekend, bring along a picnic and your loved ones and enjoy a relaxing evening with outdoor screenings of films like Night at the Museum 3 and Zootopia, courtesy of PacificLight. The first power plant to install solar panels at its facility in Singapore, PacificLight will also be providing free charging stations during the event to recharge electronic devices.

#5: Immersive Theatre Performances by Naturally You & Me
Inspired by the light art installations, these five minute performances will combine music, dance and theatre with the theme of sustainability and the four elements of nature – fire, water, wind and earth. Each performance is site-specific and choreographed by the student alumni of performing arts training centre, 10 Square @ Orchard Central.
