From a music festival and beach party to a student-run film festival, here are five of the coolest cultural events to check out in October:
Noise Singapore has teamed up with kult to host a festival that celebrates GIF as an artistic medium (yes, GIF as in Graphics Interchange Format, which is present on just about every social media platform). This novel festival will explore GIF’s role as a form of digital art in culture and new media, with activities like GIF masterclasses and workshops. Also look out for performances by our own local talents such as musician Intriguant (pictured) and electronic duo .gif. 12-10pm, Gillman Barracks, 9 Lock Road. Admission is free
