Illustrator, blogger and one of the most charismatic faces in street-style photography, the New York transplant tells us her style must-haves and cultural obsessions.
“You’ll find me in a lot of miniskirts when the weather’s hot. I love pairing them with an oversized top and little flats – especially the ones from Repetto. My favourite colour’s white, and that extends to jeans. I like them cropped, and wear them no matter the season. I swear by a well-tailored coat – Stella McCartney makes some great ones – because tailoring works well with my proportions. My other go-to brands are Isabel Marant, Valentino and Saint Laurent.”
“Opening Ceremony in Nomad on 29th Street, which has a great selection, but is quieter than the brand’s other downtown outlet, and Derek Lam on Crosby Street.”
“I do very little jewellery, but wear a watch from time to time, and have just gotten into the classic yet minimal timepieces in Swiss company Larsson & Jennings’ Norse line. I also use my Frends headphones every day.”
“I’m currently into oils and use a lot of True Botanicals’ Pure Radiance Oil. I try to avoid products with too many ingredients so I don’t tire my skin out, so my cleanser of choice is John Masters Organics’ Rose Foaming Face Wash. My daily makeup routine consists of foundation and eyeshadow from Laura Mercier, and mascara from Lancome.”
“My personal style is very laid-back and simple, so I’m excited about (the way women are now wearing) espadrilles, tuxedo pants and slip-ons… I’m also having an Olsen twins obsession. Both Mary-Kate and Ashley are not into trends, never overdressed, and always look like themselves. That, to me, is inspiring.”
“The New York-based Kelly Beeman, who’s more of a painter, and does drawings that are close to fine art.”
“Vegetarian eatery The Butcher’s Daughter in the West Village because it’s such a cool place to hang out in; The Jane Hotel’s Cafe Gitane for its avocado toast with an egg on top; Seamore’s in Little Italy for fish tacos; and Kiki’s on Division Street for a Greek-style brunch.”
