The annual Singapore Art Week 2018 is back (17-28 January) with its usual smorgasbord of offerings all around town and we totally get that it can get quite overwhelming, with over 100 events and exhibitions to check out. Here, some of the events that we think you shouldn’t miss out on at the sixth edition of the festival:
Kim Light: Sculpting Light
The late Kim Lim was one of Singapore’s greatest minimalist sculptor and printmaker, and the Singapore Tyler Print Institute (STPI) over at Robertson Quay is throwing the late artist’s first show in over 30 years. Fans of minimalism will definitely lap up this show – I’d personally never heard of Lim myself until I attended the exhibition, but I was definitely a fan after. She’s very much an underrated artist in Singapore’s scene, that’s for sure.
