You may have discovered the holistic properties of the skincare line Nº1 De Chanel, which Chanel Beauty debuted in January this year. Noted for bringing a new-gen approach to anti-ageing, the products in the range put the focus on skin cells’ vitality rather than focusing on specific skin concerns like hydration and lifting.
You may have also checked out the two new additions to the nine-piece lineup that was released earlier this month: the Revitalising Body Serum-in-Mist and Revitalising Essence Lotion. The former imparts a youthful radiance while protecting skin from external pollutants, while the latter is a lightweight gel that is said to give the skin a more evened, luminous finish. Both contain 40 per cent ingredients derived from the red ‘Czar’ camellia, the hero ingredient in the Nº1 De Chanel line.
The two-hour session co-hosted by FEMALE and Chanel Beauty during the recent Nº1 De Chanel pop-up event at Suntec City saw faces from the homegrown fashion and creative scene in attendance. These include (clockwise from top left) Basic Models Management face Kaci Beh, models Saima Jha and Lisa Van Duren of Misc Management, freelance publicist Parveen Hassanbhai, and musician Khally (in blue) and her mum.
On August 4, 23 friends of FEMALE from the fashion and creative fields were given a face-to-face introduction to this beauty universe. The occasion? A by-invite-only appointment to the Nº1 De Chanel pop-up space at Suntec City, which ended its run recently on August 16. Among those in attendance were dancer and fitness entrepreneur Alison Carroll, Gen-Z model and TikTok sensation Dewy Choo, jagua tattoo artist Ng See Min and rising singer-songwriter Khally.
The event started off with guests honing their artistic eyes by partaking in a watercolour painting session of the red camellia flower, putting their own artistic take on the power of this bloom and its ability to target major skin concerns like pores and wrinkles. They also received a step-by-step lesson on facial massages – focusing on lifting and enhancing the visage – that can be incorporated into their Nº1 De Chanel skincare routine.
Above, we turned the cameras on five of the women in the crowd for their take on the collection.
