Bussy Temple is the independent party collective that has carved an identity in the nightlife scene here for putting artists and creatives who identify as queer, femme, trans and non-binary in the spotlight. Earlier in March, the outfit marked its one year anniversary which saw it teaming up with HER 他, a collective that advocates for gender equality behind the decks. The event, dubbed Lethal Fantasies, saw an all women and non-binary lineup of acts that included popular names such as rEmPiT g0dDe$$ and Metamoksha, a trans non-binary artist and Bussy Temple’s resident DJ. Documenting the night was Lasalle College of the Arts student Martina Aquaro, who tenderly captured the voices of the various identities who find pure escape in this “alternate universe”.
