As they say in the entertainment business, the show must go on. After experiencing technical difficulties for our planned live performance with the emerging teen pop star and bedroom musician Shye on April 8, we had to reschedule the set the next night. And it was worth the wait. Known for her wacky antics and energetic presence, Shye provided the right dose good mojo at a time when many acts are canned due to Covid-19. The pop musician delivered a four-song repertoire during the half-hour performance. The first track Momentary was a special number as it was the tune that Shye collaborated with Female on for a music video last year. That was followed up by a very animated cover of The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights before she switched to her latest single Too Late which dropped on May 1.  Due to some technical glitch during the performance of Too Late – which rendered the music inaudible – the 17-year-old gamely treated her fans to an acapella version of her hit 999 which showed off her sweet tender vocals perfectly. Mic drop.
