If the latest fall/winter campaign by Calvin Klein Jeans – starring real-life couples caught in moments of PDA – has taught us anything, it is that you can wear your Calvins anywhere. Especially for music festivals. Just ask models Fiona Fussi and Iman Fandi and musician Narelle Kheng. The trio was part of the 140 invited guests to Female‘s pop-up dive bar at the recent Alex Blake Charlie Sessions which capped the magazine’s 45th anniversary this year. Touted as the first music event of its kind here to feature an all-female lineup, the festival was held at the decommissioned Pasir Panjang Power Station on Dec 7.
The grand industrial setting of the venue served as the perfect backdrop for the athletic-meets-’90s designs of the Fall/Winter 2019 collection the girls were togged in. Think cotton jersey bra tops trimmed with the Calvin Klein-branded side tape that Iman and Fussi sported. The former finished the look with a mini skirt in a dark denim wash while the latter opted for distressed cut-off jeans and a rad denim jacket. Channelling the grungey cool vibe of ’90s musicians, Kheng came dressed in a black denim jacket plastered with the monogram “CK50” (a nod to the label’s recent 50th anniversary) which she paired with the brand’s track pants.
