So smartwatches make our lives easier and more connected. But sometimes they lack the fun designs just a tad bit (we still heart you Apple watch). Now that Kate Spade New York is in the game too with the debut of a smartwatch and fitness tracker, launching in February at the brand’s The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands store, there’s a more feminine and flirty alternative around without being too cutesy. Think Tavi Gevinson circa 2016, not 2008.

Features we love: The countdown timer on the dial lets you set a special date. The counter – marked by a champagne window at 6 o’clock – fills up as the day nears. The Connected app the watch employs tracks your sleeping hours too. We love how the brand cheekily dubs that as your “beauty sleep”.

How much it costs: $429

Features we love: Most of the functions are compatible with those in the market – think light notifications to display your activity goal and a battery-operated version that never requires you to charge your tracker. What stands out, however, is the fun designs that separate it from the futuristic and athletic look of its competitors in the market (just how adorable is the cat ears?) right now.

How much it costs: $219
