Now that the dense media fog over Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s wedding has blown over, here’s another piece of news if you’re on royal watch. Montblanc has unveiled a jewellery collection designed by its brand ambassador and the 31-year-old Charlotte Casiraghi, daughter of Princess Caroline of Hanover.

While one would expect a costume jewellery collection designed by a princess to be glitzy, overstated and flamboyant in all ways, Casiraghi’s first foray into jewellery design is anything but. Called the Les Aimants, the tasteful black and white pieces stay true to her chic personal style.

The Les Aimants is Charlotte Casiraghi’s first stab at jewellery design.

The collection ($525-$1,260) comprises sumptuous curves and architectural lines for its bangles, rings and a necklace – perfect if you’re the kind who also dig Jacquemus, Celine and Loewe. The broad bangles come in black, marbled or transparent resin, whereas the narrow ones come in a satin-polished or polished silver with engraving, as well as marbled resin. The rings, meanwhile, come in sterling silver and a combination of sterling silver and black resin.

The bangles are magnetic – so you can easily create stackable looks.

Casiraghi proves with this collection that she’s got some product designer chops. The industrial-meets-ethnic designs come with hidden magnets – this means you can stack individual pieces together to create unique combinations.
