Up Close & Personal With Piaget's First Female CEO

She shares with us her favourite places to shop at, her go-to timepiece and what’s installed next for this Swiss luxury watchmaker/jeweller.

Chabi Nouri

Chabi Nouri made history when she became the first female CEO of Piaget in 2017, so it’s only befitting to describe her as a successful woman. Ever wondered what successful women wear every day? We spoke to the Geneva-based chief executive on what she wears daily, her favourite fashion brands and her relationship with jewellery.

This article first appeared in Her World.

On her go-to timepiece
“The new Limelight Gala with Aventurine Glass and diamonds on a blue alligator strap. It reminds me of beautiful moments under the starry nights in South of France.” On what she wears every day
“I’m always wearing my Possession rings, necklaces and bracelets, stacking, mixing, and changing them depending on my mood. I love the playfulness of this collection, it lights up my days! As for watches, I wear a gold mesh bracelet Limelight Gala every day.” On her favourite fashion brands
“I love to discover local designers when I travel. Recent discoveries include (Australian label) Toni Maticevski (above) and (Mexican brand) Kris Goyri for special occasions. My all-time favourite bag brand is Serapian. The Milanese leather brand has the best quality, craft and heritage in making bags.” On her first watch
“It was a very small sized Cartier Tank watch in yellow gold with a malachite dial. It started my passion for watches and jewellery, and brought me into this amazing world with so much heritage.” On why people are sentimental about watches and jewellery
“Because they are timeless, because they are passing through the generations. It is a reminder of a special time or person, and a celebration of a special moment, or just of life or oneself. It’s not only a financial investment; it is an emotional investment that you will be able to share with loved ones.” On what she’s looking forward to
“The launch of the Altiplano Ultimate Concept this year. It demonstrates the high watchmaking know-how of our maison for 145 years and celebrates our most amazing crafts people. We unveil not only a technical marvel in the field of ultra-thin, but also a watch that you can personalise with more than 10,000 possibilities.” On shopping online vs in-store
“It’s such a personal choice. I believe that one goes with the other, it is very much integrated today and the real experience combines your own life experiences with what you get at Piaget online, as well as offline in stores and at our events.” On adjusting to a WFH routine
“I think we have all learnt something positive from these challenging times: different ways to live, work, be resilient, and share love and support. I’ve been busy working and adjusting; when not working, I have enjoyed being with my family, spending quality time or improving my cooking skills.”
