Who: Yeo Shu Yi, 38, founder and managing director of six-year-old fashion retailer LaPrendo. Besides a well-curated e-tail site, the Dempsey Hill store (Psst: it’s our go-to for labels like Adam Lippes, Rupert Sanderson, Vionnet and Chalayan) recently opened a fine jewellery outpost at the newly-revamped third floor of Ngee Ann City.

Why: “My style tends to be sporty and functional yet not too casual. This watch is a combination of that. I like to build a collection of watches and jewellery that allows me to play with different coloured stones and gold to go with the mood of the day. It gives me a whole new feel every time I put different pieces together like these silk and diamond bracelets that I have paired with the watch.”
