What: The Singapore debut of the fine jewellery line of German accessories label Thomas Sabo. First launched in 2014, the collection features elevated designs of the brand’s signature look and goes beyond the usual sterling silver variety. The range of necklaces, rings, earrings and bracelets come in fine metals like 18K rose gold, yellow and white gold featuring precious stones like black and white diamonds.


Why it matters: Fans of the brands do not have to travel to the eight flagship stores in Zurich, London, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Vienna, Hamburg, Munich and Paris that stock the collection anymore. But more importantly, the launch fills the gap in the bijoux market for the tribal/hippy and rocker chic aesthetic in precious materials, which would usually involve taking the customisation route. The pendants, inspired by chakras, for instance, are up the alley for Spring/Summer’s dark, edgy trend that’s being led by brands like Alexander McQueen. And the launch comes just in time for party season: You can’t deny the “oontz-oontz” vibe of Thomas Sabo pieces for a good party outfit. Prices upon application.
