Celine and Phoebe Philo can do no wrong in the books of most fashion folks – and is it really any wonder, when Philo continues to churn out designs that are equal parts timeless, contemporary while retaining a cool, artistic flair. Here’s our wishlist from Celine’s Resort 2018 collection:
The vintage-chic Clasp bag first debuted in Spring 2017 and has been a runaway hit (as with most of the brand’s bags). With its clean-cut lines and utter lack of any superfluous elements, it’s a keeper for your archives. Now updated in a lovely mint green, it’s a fresh take on a classic design.
We love that this necklace makes a statement without being too over the top. Our suggestion? Pair with an unbuttoned white shirt. It’ll go well with a white tee too.
Very ’90s but in the best possible sense. Its mid-height means you’ll be able to actually walk in it while the colour ensures that no one will forget this sexy strappy number any time soon.
Green and gold is always a winning combination and this version of the Mini Clasp in dark emerald green just screams luxe. Now you know which bag to get when you want to show up your worst frenemy or your ex’s horrible new girlfriend.
Leave it to Celine to tweak the classic white sneaker – the coloured piping adds a subtle yet eye-catching upgrade; it’s also available in a dark red and baby pink, but I’d pick the green.
Need a big carryall? The medium-sized Big Bag will do nicely – especially in an unusual baby blue hue in suede.
I love the asymmetric shapes of the pearls on this pair of earrings – it’s an unusual yet chic party accessory.
What shoes to match that grocery bag? These mesh booties of course.
What’s an even cooler way to do bags now? Upholstering them in technical fabrics.
Pantsuits are all the rage now and we love Celine’s nipped in version with a button that looks like a miniature art piece.
