Ines De La Fressange

Uniqlo’s longtime collaborative venture with French fashion icon Ines de la Fressange is still our go-to for pieces that combine form, function, and style. And fans of the two will be ecstatic to know that they will be launching an all-new Spring/Summer 2018 collection. Its ninth season will feature a full 82-item collection that is set to launch on 16 March at Uniqlo’s flagship store at Orchard Central Suntec City and online at www.uniqlo.com/sg. Dresses will be available at all stores.

After eight seasons, where does the Japanese fashion brand’s outing with the French supermodel take inspiration from? Well this time, the collection celebrates Ines’ recollections of boating scenes and vibrant architecture during her travels in port towns around Europe. The range builds on her desire to offer wardrobe essentials that are not only fashion-forward but are also versatile and great for every day.

Colour-wise, the collection is full of striking hues (which are still made wearable for day to day) such as cobalt blue, red, and a variety of prints such as borders, checks, dots, flowers, and star patterns. Ines’ signature navy blue and indigo shades are also showcased in new, fresh ways.

Key items include gingham check cotton parkas, soft easy pants in delightful spring patterns, and 60s inspired cache-coeur dresses with ruffles. Ines’ effortless style extends to the elegantly relaxing pyjamas with prints that are identical to those used in the collection’s tops, pants, and dresses.
